Warm and inviting, fully insulated and double glazed with beech flooring, macrocarpa walls and a red cedar roof. Be close to nature, watch for game from the veranda in the evenings, relax, play in the river or go for walks.

  • Sleeps up to six in large timber bunks with comfortable mattresses, NZ Merino sleeping liners and duvets.
  • On warm days, sit outside at a picnic table with outdoor gas BBQ cooking.
  • Inside, a sofa and a log burner fireplace make it a perfect retreat year round.
  • The cabin is only accessible by 4 wheel drive vehicle or transport available for $70 for the return trip (1.5hrs, seats 3-4 guests), horseback or tramping.
  • The cabin is equipped with a kitchenette with 4 modern gas burners for cooking, an ice box, and filtered water.
  • Solar electric light is provided.
  • Wooden steps lead down to the gas heated outdoor shower beside rock pools and moss-clad rocks.
  • The cabin also offers the convenience (and bush luxury!) of a separate flush toilet.

Price is for 2 people $30 per extra person. Guiding on the property is available for walkers, riders, hunters for $300 per day. Day or overnight trips can be arranged fishing in the Marlb. Sounds or trout fishing in local rivers. Talk to us about 4wd or helicopter sightseeing.
