Liffey House is a friendly, relaxed country retreat 2 minutes from Lincoln University and 30 minutes from Christchurch International Airport and the CBD. Designed for your comfort and privacy set in beautiful mature gardens within our 28 acre property, enjoying views of the Port Hills. As we are alongside the Liffey River, trout fishing and boating are just two of the many attractions offered.

  • A separate guest lounge and dining room ensure your enjoyment of the country lifestyle, while you can still keep up with the latest sports results and news.
  • Breakfast comes courtesy of our own free range organic hens - we grow our own feed grain and the poultry enjoy the outdoors in the paddock next door, doing what hens, ducks and guinea fowl do all day - scratching around for bugs.
  • The bacon is old fashioned, tasty and our own. Truly the heart of a traditional country breakfast!
  • Liffey House has only recently been completed, having been designed for guest comfort and privacy.
  • Relax in our beautiful gardens and enjoy the views to the Port Hills, or try your luck fishing in the stream that borders the property.
  • Both privacy and security are very important to us, we have monitored security gates, fire alarms and back up emergency lighting
  • Our guest office has a fax, iPod dock, library and desk.
  • All your meals (lunch and dinner on request and at additional charge) are prepared from locally sourced ingredients. If we didn't grow our first-class ingredients ourselves, then we know who did!
  • You will love our full country breakfast, and your hostess Kathy delights in producing tasty meals from the freshest possible ingredients.
