International flights arrive daily into Queenstown, Amazing Accom staff recommend hiring a car to take the 60 minute drive over to Wanaka, alternatively buses and shuttles are available. Wanaka has a smaller airport for charter and scenic flights. Main carriers into Queenstown are Air New Zealand, Emirates, Jetstar, Qantas and Singapore Airlines.
Wanaka is a fantastic destination no matter what time of year you visit. During the winter it is the perfect base for skiers and snowboarders wanting to take to the world class slopes of Cardrona and Treble Cone.
For those in search of a little adventure why not try Heli-skiing. This is the ultimate experience, get dropped in some of the most remote and beautiful, untouched areas of the mountains by helicopter.
In the summer months there is still a large variety of activity for the outdoor adventurer. The lake offers opportunity for both fishing and water skiing, the mountains for hiking and climbing.
